Mini Pizza Calzone


Instant is out! Make pizza rolls out of homemade pizza dough. They are easy to prepare and you can fill them with anything you like! In this recipes, we used onions, salami and cheese. When I normally make pizza rolls I simply roll out the dough, spread some cheese and ham on it, roll it up and cut it into pieces. That way the cheese is pouring out on both sides. It really tastes the same, but I figured it is a much cleaner matter to make them like little calzones especially when you'll have to transport them while driving to a friends house, for example.



As you can see in the picture above my husband made these and he really had fun doing it! (Don't ask me how the kitchen looked afterwards ;-) but I am happy as long as he is). 

When we are talking about dips for pizza balls or pizza bread there is just one answer I can give you! Aioli, Aioli, Aioli! It really is the only Dip I want to eat along with Pizza Balls. 
If you don't want to buy Aioli in the supermarket, try the Quicktasty'cs Aioli Dip. It's alot cheaper!

Cheesy Rice Meatballs
Ingredients
  • 1 hand-sized ball Quicktasty'cs Pizza dough Italian Style
  • 1 red onion
  • 8 slices chorizo salami
  • 4 slices cheese
Instructions
1. After preparing the Italian pizza dough, take a hand-sized ball of it and knead the dough on a slighty floured work surface.2. After kneading the dough, cut it into little balls. The size and how many of them depends on how much of the ingredients you want to use when filling the calzones.3. Now take the pizza ball, carefully open it with your fingers and fill it with a bit of the red onion, chorizo salami and cheese.4. Now flip the filled pizza dough shut. Make sure they wont flip open while baking.5. Preheat oven to the highest heat. You can brush olive oil on your mini pizza calzones if you like.6. Put the mini pizza calzones into the oven: 400F° / 10-15 minutes.
