Wooo, it's BBQ TIME! No BBQ without these rolls! They are so fun and easy to prepare and the best - it's what I LOVE about these kind of recipes - you can start making them a night before and put them into the fridge while the dove rises. I decided to just use herbs but I could imagine that ham cubes or bell peppers or even dried tomatoes taste super amazing aswell.
Great - now I am hungry. I should remind myself not to edit or write any post when I'm hungry. It's like doing the grocery when hungry. "Ohh, i really need this chocolate thing, it's necess...ohh ice cream....no wait, i really think we NEED potato wedges..."
So, my only problem with these cheesy herb balls is, i can't stop eating them. It's my weakness. It is exactly what I eat and eat without realizing I already ate 6 pieces. Do you know that? Been invitied to a BBQ and you are having a really good time but there is this one dish that you constantly nibble? Oh well... I guess that is more a problem of my willpower than this recipe ;-)
If you don't want to use herbs but ham or bell pepper instead you'll have to knead these ingredients into the dough. I doubt it will work the same if you simply toss them into the butter/cheese mix.
Anyway it's a really nice idea to prepare for a party or occassion - you could even take whole thing to you friends or families house without baking, so everyone can enjoy them a little warm. Up to you :-)
