Smoked Pork Chops with Dumplings


You are on you lunch break and have no idea what to eat? How about a little feast in the office? Bread dumplings are easily made in the microwave within 8 minutes. 

Yes, that's true. I am not cheating. I was surprised too when I saw this recipe. Especially because dumplings is my favorite food, like really really my favorite food in the world. Even beats pizza. And I LOVE pizza. My mom used to do them for me when I was a kid and I was so much in love with them that I even ate them without sauce. Sounds gross, heh :-)

Anyway, I really recommend trying this if you are a fan of dumplings and have no stove or time. Come and see for yourself in my little video and pictures below how easy it is!


  


Make sure to add some sauce (e.g. gravy). I know I am not the no. 1 fan of instant sauces, but hey - it is a microwave recipe and if there is a microwave, I am sure there is an electric water jug aswell :-)

Smoked Pork Chops with Dumplings
Ingredients
  • 1 piece smoked pork chop
  • 6 slices toast
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion
  • salt, pepper, nutmeg, parsley
Instructions
1. Crumble toast into pieces and put it into a bowl.2. Cut onions into small bits and add onions, the egg, and milk to the bowl with the crumbled toast. 3. Add salt, pepper and parsley, mix it with the onions, eggs and toast and make one big or many little dumplings and put them into a microwaveable container.4. Put it into the microwave ( with lid): 600 W / 4 mins.5. Add the smoked pork chop to the container and put it into the microwave again: 600 W / 4 mins.Optional: Use some instant gravy, so the dish isn’t too dry!
