I don't know how it is in other countries but in Germany we are having these little pizzas called "Piccolinis" as oven-ready meals. It's deep-frozen food but not quite cheap if you have to feed alot of hungry mouths. Especially for a party as fingerfood or a big family I sometime feel like it is a waste of money. So my husband and I tried doing them on our own.
We simply used tortilla wraps. You can buy them in any store or supermarket. I used a cookie cutter to get the circled shape but to be honest that is just a waste of food. The better solution is to cut the tortilla wrap in 4 equal slices.
Of course you are not limited with the toppings but that's self-explaining. In the first picture we used a traditional "Flammkuchen" (Tarte Flambée) topping and in the second picture we simply used some pizza sauce, cheese and salami.
That way you really can prepare alot - and I really mean alot - pizza snacks if needed. Now that I am writing about this I think this is a great idea for a kids birthday party. Just give them the tortilla slices and let them top their pizzas with anything they like! You'll probably be appointed to the pizza king mom or dad at the end of the day! :-)
