Buying Aioli in the supermarket can be quite expensive sometimes. Especially when you need it for a lot of people. So better try to make your own Aioli. It is easy and the best: the ingredients are really cheap.
Aioli basically is mayonaisse with garlic. The taste is a big thumbs up for people who are into garlic. We always use it as a dip for pizza balls and probably learned that from all the delivery services here in Germany. They don't even give you another choice along with their pizza rolls :-) Not that I complain - I completely agree it's the best combination in my very own pizza heaven.
Wow. And I am talking about pizza again :-) Okay, back to the subject!!!
Let me give you one thing on the way: If you have the feeling that your Aioli tastes too musty or mouldy just add a little more lemon juice. It'll help to give it that brisky taste that I love.

Aioli
Ingredients
- 1 cup colza oil
- 1 egg
- 3 garlic gloves
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. lemon juice
Instructions
1. Take a bowl and add all the ingredients except for the colza oil and lemon juice and whisk together.2. Start blending the ingredients while carefully adding some (not all) oil to the bowl. The consistency has to change into a mayonnaise.3. When successful, slowly add the rest of the oil into the bowl and blend until you have a mayonnaise like in the picture above.4.
